Royal recognition for Home Instead

We are delighted to announce that Home Instead has, once again, received Royal recognition and has been named as one of only 44 organisations to receive a Princess Royal Training Award.

In 2016 we received an inaugural Princess Royal Training award for our dementia training and this latest award has been bestowed upon us for our new End of Life training which, like our dementia training, is City & Guilds accredited.

The specialist end of life training was developed to give our 9,000 CAREGivers the personal skills and knowledge to cope with the practical and emotional demands of delivering end of life care. The aims of the training are to support CAREGivers during what is a difficult part of care work and also to improve the quality of care provided to clients.

We know that an estimated 60 per cent people wish to die at home. By supporting our CAREGivers through training, our teams are able to make that wish a reality for people.

Training accolade for Home Instead

Commenting on the award, Martin Jones, CEO of Home Instead Senior Care said: “This award is a fantastic accolade and shows our dedication to providing the highest level of training to equip our CAREGivers with the skills needed to help a person during the emotional end stage of their life. To achieve this award alongside such a small number of other global businesses really is testament to the quality of training we’re passionate about delivering.”

Chris Jones, Chief Executive of the City & Guilds Group added: “We were thrilled with the quality and variety of entries this year. The work that HR and L&D teams do to train, upskill and reskill teams is critical; helping individuals to reach their potential and find meaningful employment, while supporting businesses in developing the skills for success, and ultimately producing the productive workforce we so urgently need. The organisations we recognise today all provide compelling evidence that tangibly proves the value that comes from investing in people.”
