Home Instead Senior Care in Stockport & Tameside were pleased to welcome Julia Kinsey from The Wilmslow Therapy Practice and Eamonn Greene from Fitness in Stockport to talk at our latest CAREGiver meeting.

Julia, who is a Registered Osteopath and Weight Consultant, talked to both CAREGivers and staff about the benefits of eating healthy, balanced meals, particularly the elderly who suffer from a lack of nutrients and vitamins in their diet. Julia spoke about how soups are good for adding many nutrients and vitamins creating a wholesome and healthy meal. Julia went on to talk about the work she does with Clients to help with weight loss or management and how she can work with either a group or on an individual basis to achieve reduction in weight and improve health and wellbeing. Speaking at the group, Julia said: “I offer an individual weight control programme to help you achieve a healthy sustainable weight. I will assist you in making healthy food choices to change your current eating habits.  The diet plans I provide have the nutritional content and calorific count all worked out for you.  I will help you establish your weight loss targets and goals.” www.painlossweightloss.co.uk

Eamonn, who is a personal fitness trainer, spoke to the group about the work he does with Clients to improve mobility, walking, posture and general fitness. Working with a wide range of Clients, Eamonn can tailor a program to achieve specific goals. “My aim is to work with people either on an individual or group basis to help them develop a healthier lifestyle. This in turn will help them have more energy, drive and confidence to tackle life’s daily challenges.” Eamonn specialises in working with people over the age of 50. www.fitnessinstockport.co.uk

The group found the talks very interesting and immediately identified Clients that may benefit from support with weight loss or exercise. Julia handed out a range of literature on nutrition and weight loss which everyone found useful.
