New Year means more caring jobs in Sheffield
With a rapidly ageing population there are now more pensioners than under 16s living in the UK. With statistics like these, it’s no wonder that a business specialising in providing a tailor made service to older people is in such high demand.
Bryn Evans of Home Instead in Sheffield said, “January is usually one of our busiest periods for new enquiries, in the aftermath of family get-togethers over the Christmas period. It’s at times like Christmas, when we see more than usual of our elderly relatives and spend quality time with them that you may spot the signs that they aren’t coping as well as they did and care issues become more apparent.
“We find that families, often at the instigation of grown-up children, have time to talk and discuss new arrangements for supporting their elderly parents which then come to fruition in the early part of the year.”
Bryn Evans continued, “As a result of our growth we are now in need of CAREGivers to join our team. Although our existing CAREGivers come from a hugely varied background, the one thing they have in common is that they all have a real passion for helping others and caring for people in our local community. We provide all the necessary training and are a friendly, supportive team so professional experience is not essential. Whether you are 19 or 99, if you are a caring and compassionate person and would like to find out more, then we want to hear from you!”
