Days Out with Home Instead Clients in Norwich

At Home Instead Norwich, we always treasure the opportunity to brighten the days of our clients with an outing. From local strolls to community events, our clients get a real boost from being out and about in the community, supported by our Care Professionals.

Here’s some of our favourite days out in and around Norwich;
1. Eaton Park is a popular spot for both our clients and Care Professionals, one of the country’s finest parks, it’s always a highlight. Whether watching the activity on the boating lake or indulging in a slice of cake at the cafe, Eaton Park is a delightful setting for a leisurely stroll in nature and a brilliant day out.

2. With its fantastic restaurant, Notcutts in Norwich is another lovely place to visit and have a potter around. Settling in for a spot of lunch or simply to people-watch – it’s not just about the food, it’s the experience and the memories we create together.

3. A visit to Jarrold’s Department Store in the city centre is a firm favourite, this long standing family-run business is familiar to many of our clients, and has been serving local customers since 1823. With its inviting atmosphere in the Food Hall, and with 3 restaurants to choose from, Jarrold’s presents a perfect opportunity for a meal out or a casual coffee and cake, while taking a look around the 5 floors and 50 departments!

4. From time to time a client who enjoys the arts might request support to go to a performance at the Theatre Royal, or enjoy a live event at the Assembly House. Occasionally, a client’s adventurous spirit takes us further afield, perhaps to the picturesque Norfolk Broads. Every outing, no matter the distance, is treated with the same enthusiasm and dedication to enabling our clients to feel vibrant and connected to the world around them. It’s a privilege to support and share in these experiences

5. Importantly, we also foster connection through our Companionship Cafe, hosted at the Thorpe St Andrew Library each month. Our staff Christmas parties, too, become events where clients can come along and everyone feels part of the extended Home Instead Norwich family.

It’s moments like these that we see our home care clients delight in, maintaining a sense of enjoyment in their daily and weekly routines.
“My father, aged 93 lives in an annex attached to our home. He had become quite lonely, particularly as my wife and I have very busy full time jobs. We wanted a befriender who could chat with my father and take him out to his favourite places. Home instead provide a carer who comes once a week and really goes the extra mile to help us keep Dad’s quality of life as good as possible.”
