Mary's caring career with Home Instead

Home Instead Senior Care in Waltham Forest has appointed a new care manager to manage its at-home care services across the local area. The company has created 50 jobs locally over the past year and is rapidly expanding due to the high-quality services it offers to elderly people in the community.

Mary Pearson, who is 42 and lives locally in Tottenham, has had many career changes in her life but has always come back to working in care. She comments: “The caring profession is wonderful as I really enjoy building relationships with clients and facing new challenges each and every day. I was thrilled when I was offered a position with Home Instead as the team is so committed to providing a personal and high-quality service and I knew this would make the job really rewarding.”

Mary started working for Home Instead as a caregiver and was later promoted to the role of care co-ordinator. Mary found this position demanding but thoroughly enjoyable and when the care manager vacancy became available one year later, Mary wasted no time in applying! She is now responsible, not only for individual clients, but also for organising her own team of caregivers.

Home Instead provide care for adults in their own homes across the area and the company is rapidly building a reputation as one of the UK’s leading at home care providers. Their service is tailored to the needs of individual clients and ranges from companionship, meal preparation, light housekeeping, post-discharge care, medication reminders, shopping and errands to personal care. The service is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
