Growing old can bring challenges, both for the person who’s ageing and for their family. It can be frustrating for our loved ones because they can’t do everything they used to and feel like they’re losing their independence. At the same time, it might be worrying for their family as they might not be able to be there whenever their loved ones need them.

We have just launched this years Be A Santa fundraiser and we've love for you to help us! There will drop off points around the local area such as Morrisons supermarket from 1st December for any gifts you're able to donate to our elderly community. These will then be wrapped by some local school students and distributed out to those who may just need a smile at Christmas! We also have a wish list on Amazon for those of you ahead of the game and who have already started your Christmas shopping!! https://www.amazon.co.uk/hz/wishlist/ls/292654I15Y0WH?ref_=wl_share
This afternoon we had our first face to face (and via zoom!) team meeting for our CAREgivers! It was great to get everyone together and go through some important information and celebrate some amazing work. We awarded not one, but two CAREgivers of the month to Sarah and Faye for their amazing hard work and commitment this last month - we're so proud of the work you do!
Today, we decided to surprise our lovely clients with Fish & Chips all delivered by our Office staff and Key Players. We loved being able to make them smile and give them something to enjoy with their CAREgivers - we even included a little activity pack to keep them occupied well into the afternoon! Sue, our Field Care Supervisor said, "I've enjoyed Fish and Chip Friday because I got to meet clients I hadn't seen before" which was just fab to hear! We love seeing their faces and giving them something a bit different to enjoy for their lunch - we've already been asked when we are doing it again!
Back in September, we enjoyed taking part in a cake sale for MacMillan Coffee Morning. We invited our new neighbours and CAREgivers to come and have a cuppa and a cake and it was lovely to see so many people - Jess even baked for the occasion! We were thrilled to make £112.50 for MacMillan and had a lovely morning too!
