Experience is not necessary, however we are looking for a very special kind of person.
The care sector isn't always seen as caring. Because so often there is not the time to be or those delivering the care are of necessity task driven. It can be uniforms and short visits and tick lists. We want you to know that we are very different, what we do is person centered, we have the time to be companionable and caring and to do it right. No uniforms, working with the client to keep them skilled and independent, supported and cared for. This way can make the greatest difference and have real positive effects.
Our CAREGivers seek a career (part time 10-20 hrs is the norm) that offers genuine fulfillment, the chance to make a real difference and tremendous job satisfaction.
To be considered for this role you will need a kind, compassionate person, to be warm and considerate, to be very reliable and where necessary to go 'above and beyond'. We want those who want to make a true difference to the quality of life for our clients.
You do not need any specific experience or particular qualifications to become a CAREGiver. However, it would be useful to have some experience or understanding of working in a care setting or interacting with older people. This could be personal experience of caring for a family member or through voluntary experience. You will have a passion for supporting others and pride yourself on delivering an outstanding service. You will be reliable, trustworthy and respectful. You will enjoy building professional friendships and comfortable in spending time in the company of others.
