Home Instead Senior Care has teamed up with Tesco, to help raise money for the Admiral Nursing Service here in Havant.

Home Instead has been packing bags at Tesco Extra in Havant, with the aim of raising awareness and money for charitable organisation, the Admiral Nurses. Mark Gettinby, Owner of Home Instead along with several members of his team took part in the bag pack collection during Dementia Awareness Week, raising a total of £150. The donation will be used to fund the vital work the Admiral Nurses provide to the local community and surrounding areas.

The Admiral Nurses are specialist dementia nurses who provide practical, clinical and emotional support to people who are affected by Alzheimer’s and dementia. They are registered nurses with a wealth of knowledge and experience and aim to support people to stay living at home for as long as possible.

Owner of Home Instead, Mark Gettinby explained, “At Home Instead many of our client are living with different forms of dementia, so we understand the importance of supporting people who are affected by the condition.

“The Admiral Nurses do a fantastic job, they have unique clinical skills and work with the NHS to support the carers of those living with dementia. We can see firsthand the wonderful impact they have on the lives of people who are living with the condition as well as their families.”
