On Thursday 13 December it was Macmillans ‘Wear your Christmas Jumper’ so here at Home Instead Senior Care in Macclesfield we couldn’t let that go by, so the team all donned their most festive or festively adorned jumpers to raise funds for the charity.

It was great fun and we even got a visit from Silk FM our local radio station which was also supporting the charity. Andy Bailey well know DJ and not forgetting the Cheshire Cat, interviewed our very own Alison live on the radio, which she did with aplomb, she talked about Home Instead and why we wanted to take part.

In our daily lives, we meet and care for older people who have been touched by, or are living with cancer, so it is a charity very close to our hearts. We just felt it was a lovely, fun and novel idea to get everyone together to support this really fantastic charity.

Adding to the Christmas festivities was Karen our Care Supervisor. who serenaded us all (and got a few of us singing along) when she played  a number of festive carols on her Euphonium.

Alison said, “We have had a great day and hope that we will have helped to raise more awareness for the good work that Macmillans do.
