CAREGiver zips for Alzheimer's Research UK

One of our lovely CAREGivers, Lesley Greaves, marked her 60th birthday by doing the fastest zip-line in the world at the Velocity zip-line in North Wales last month.

Lesley raised over £700 for Alzheimer's Research UK through sponsorship from colleagues, and asking for donations in place of birthday gifts from family and friends.

Lesley, who always puts others before herself, and regularly goes above and beyond the call of duty, has been a CAREGiver with Home Instead East Chesire for just over a year now. She is always a ray of sunshine and is loved by colleagues and clients alike, often bringing us cakes at the office on a Friday!

Commmenting on her adrenaline fuelled experience, Lesley said, "To mark my 60th birthday I wanted to raise money for Alzheimer's Research UK. Inspired by Matt Baker (from BBC's Countryfile), I decided to attempt the Velocity zip-wire in Wales, which I accomplished - travelling at 86 miles per hour! I wish to thank my family and friends for a lovely afternoon tea party as well. I also want to thank my employer Home Instead Senior Care, and wonderful work colleagues and friends. I managed to raise £727.00, which is beyond all my expectations. A big thank you!"
