Trainer

Here at Home Instead Clacton, Frinton & Walton we are currently seeking a Trainer to join our successful and growing home care business.

Working from our office based in Frinton-on-Sea you will be responsible for the implementation, overview, organisation & delivery of training programmes to improve the knowledge, skills and competence of our Care Assistants.

We are looking for a confident individual who has:

  • Proven experience of preparing & delivering training programmes 
  • A good knowledge of the Health & Social Care Sector
  • Relevant and up to date training qualifications
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office or Google Suite

Salary: £23,000 per annum

Hours: 37.5 hours – Mon to Fri (Plus on call duties paid additional to your salary)

Responsibilities of the Trainer include:

  • Deliver the Induction Training programme for all new Caregivers, ensuring they attain the relevant level of competence to deliver their role
  • Complete on the job competency assessments to ensure Caregivers have the right skills and knowledge. Identify and agree additional training or development needed
  • Work closely with the office team to ensure all new Caregivers are fully supported in their first 3 months of employment
  • Develop training and enhance the skills of the existing team through personal development plans
  • Manage the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring training records and the team's training compliance is up-to date at all time
  • To keep up to date with all new developments in the Health and Social Care Sector and ensure all training materials reflect current legislative requirements
  • Ensure compliance with Home Instead’s Equality, Diversity and Equal Opportunities Policy, in respect of employment and service delivery
