Are you a teacher, or working full time but looking for a meaningful part-time job to make some extra money and also to know you are doing something meaningful within your community?

EXPERIENCES & QUALIFICATIONS

No experience in the care sector is required as we give all our CAREGivers our own in-house training. At least a basic level of literacy and numeracy skills are required but a good attitude, loyalty and life experience are more valuable to us than qualifications.

We pride ourselves on investing in our CAREGivers and we have many long-term CAREGivers among our staff who have remained with us and progress within the company and if you wanted you could go on to achieve NVQ qualifications.

This year we are also really proud to have won a '4 Star Employer' Award for the 'Best Employers in Care 2018'. We are aiming to achieve a 5 Star award for next year and you could be there to help us achieve it!

A TYPICAL CLIENT

Edith is the kind of client we have on our books. She is 94 years old, she has lived in on her own since her husband died 25 years ago and has always been independent. Last year, Edith had a fall whilst out shopping and it knocked her confidence. She stopped going out and even became scared of the stairs in her own house and would often sleep on the sofa rather than go to bed.
Edith is typical of someone you would become a CAREGiver for, she still wants to get out and about, but confidence stops her, which is where you come in. You would help her with daily routines that have become harder for her but also take her out and keep her independent and doing the things she has always done. This would be things like helping her with her morning, lunchtime, or evening routine. Going shopping with her on Friday’s, taking her to the hairdressers every Wednesday maybe?

WHAT WE REQUIRED

Depending on your availability which could be either, early mornings, lunch times, afternoons, evenings and some weekends.

This exceptional service is different to any other care organisation in the area, providing a minimum of 1-hour home visits to a purely private client base, but the focus being on companionship. Imagine having Dementia but still being able to go to your dancing class on a Saturday, still being able to pick up your pension, still going into town on a Wednesday for cream tea!

You could be helping make these things happen every day!

HOURS & RATES

£9.05 - £10.05 (weekends & after 6 pm) per hour
Hours are available between 10-30 hours per week.

Unfortunately, we are not able to offer school hours as our clients need consistantly though-out the year. Neither can we offer full-time hours due to the nature of the work, although your portfolio of clients could be built up over time if you have the availability.

BENEFITS

- Retail Vouchers & Discounts
- Excellent training is provided.

The biggest benefit of all is making a difference every day.

If you are excited by this opportunity we really want to hear from you.
