Senior CAREGiver

Brighton Contract £11.00 - £11.00 per hour Closing date: 01/08/2023

As Home Instead Senior Care – Brighton, Hove and Shoreham builds for the future, it is essential that our care operation is robust and that Caregivers are supported. This Senior Caregiver - Operational Support role has been created to assist with us reaching our objectives and to ensure a robust and compliant delivery of our service to clients, fulfilling our promise to them and supporting our Caregivers to deliver what is required of them

The roles require a degree of flexibility and adaptability, with a variety of opportunities to interact with our Caregiver and Clients, and will need effective planning and working relationships with the office team.  The role will be partly based in the office and partly in “the field”.   Occasional evening and weekend work will be required, depending on operational needs.

This role will suit someone who is interested in progressing into the role of Field Supervisor or other managerial roles. There will be opportunities to participate in Level 2 or 3 diploma in Health and Social Care.

To ensure the operational delivery of the Home Instead service is supported by the following:

·         Acting as stand-in Caregiver if required to maintain our service delivery to clients, such as while establishing a new client or covering absence/sickness, or to help embed new clients

·         To help establish new clients with visits, establishing routines, and introducing new Caregivers

·         To coach and support new Caregivers, ensuring they are introduced successfully into commencing visits and acting as a role model for them, ensuring use of best practice and demonstrating training

·         To ensure compliance with Home Instead standards and best practice when visiting clients by reviewing whether the care plan appears to be being delivered effectively, and suggesting alterations

·         To audit Clients ACP logs ensuring care plans are being delivered effectively, and looking for suggested enhancements and collating Caregiver feedback.

·         Helping to ensure Caregivers have the appropriate PPE,  by helping deliver it to them if need be

·         Responding to phone calls in the office, ensuring actions are dealt with or passed on accurately and in a timely manner, with appropriate notes/follow on actions logged.

CAREGiver for Advanced Dementia

Brighton Part-time £10.00 - £11.25 per hour Closing date: 01/08/2023

We are looking for experienced, kind, compassionate and warm carers, who have a social and outgoing personality, will be willing to help older people with Advanced Dementia in their own home, and enjoy becoming a part of a care team. Driving license and a car is not essential, but certain degree of travel will be necessary to carry out the visits. Experience looking after someone with Dementia ESSENTIAL.

As a Home Instead caregiver, you will be visiting Clients in their own homes for a MINIMUM 1 HOUR at a time to enable and empower them to continue staying in their own homes safely and happily. You will be helping them with daily needs like conversation, companionship, easy meals, light housekeeping, and personal care where needed.

We have Clients in Brighton and Hove for whom we are looking for additional caregivers for their regular teams – the perfect opportunity for some part-time hours supporting older people living with dementia, getting to know them, and supporting their needs in a very person-centred way.

You will receive full training, shadowing, support, and mentorship from a great team of experienced people through your whole journey.

As a CAREGiver, you would receive full training, shadowing, support, and mentorship from a great team of experienced people through your whole journey, therefore experience is not necessary for this role, but a social personality, willingness to learn, flexible attitude and genuine care and compassion towards older people.

This is a part-time role, with no obligation to do any number of hours, however, ability to work in the evenings and weekends and access to a driving license and a car is ESSENTIAL to access GUARANTEED HOURS.
