Dementia Action is a national event that sees the UK public taking action to improve the lives of people affected by dementia.
At Home Instead Altrincham, Sale & Wythenshawe we are committed to our local communities and are very conscious of our local responsibility to help combat loneliness and social isolation and the challenges that face people living with dementia their families and carers. A diagnosis of dementia is life changing for all those affected but we know it is possible to live well with dementia. Taking part in activities and being part of the local community can make a difference and we want to play our part in helping those affected to feel valued and engaged and supported.

Our Living Well with Dementia Open Day brings together local charities, support groups, and professionals working to improve the lives of those affected by dementia. Whether you’re living with dementia, supporting a loved one, or want to find out more, this event is for you.

Chat with dementia specialists, carers’ organisations, memory support charities, and community groups offering practical help and social activities.

Hear from local professionals about diagnosis, support, and what to expect, with time for questions.

Enjoy tea, coffee, and homemade bakes in aid of local dementia charities.
🎶 Special Performance by Vibrant Voices Choir
A heartwarming performance from a local dementia-friendly choir – not to be missed!
Dementia Action Week is a chance to break down stigma, learn more, and make our communities safer and more supportive for people affected by dementia. Whether you drop in for a chat or stay for the whole morning, your presence matters.
