Wirral Care Foundation Community Fund

Set up in 2013 by Catharine and Mike Chalton The Wirral Care Foundation's aim is to create a dementia friendly community across Wirral by delivering a recognised dementia training program. We offer training FREE of charge to businesses, local organisations and community groups across the peninsula.

In 2016 we created our own Wirral Care Foundation Community fund, which provides financial support for small organisations that can not receive higher funding from lottery or council .  All we ask is that it is used to enrich the lives of our Wirral residents.

Over the last three years the fund has provided over £14,000 to local groups, who have used the money towards worthwhile community projects.

Last week, we celebrated this years successful applicants with an award ceremony hosted by Catharine and Mike Chalton, who were joined by Mayor Councillor Tony Smith who presented awards to our chosen organisations.
