It's hard to contain my excitement as we look back on our outstanding achievements in such a short space of time.
When we opened our doors in September 2010 we had only one thing in our minds - to change the face of ageing in the Wimbledon and Kingston areas.
We knew then as we know now, that quality care, cannot be delivered in 15 minutes by people who don't care.
We also knew that it's all about continuity and trust and that has never been compromised.
We have had our ups:- providing brilliant care, winning awards, enjoying our tea parties and celebrations - as well as our downs:- loosing amazing people who have become greatly loved and cherished members of our Home Instead family.
Our gift to the community has extended past the care and support that is needed at home, as we opened a memory cafe in Kingston and are opening a second in Wimbledon, with plans for a third in another key location.
As we head enthusiastically into our fifth year, we are noticing growing ranges of different people that we support, as we provide cancer care, buddies for mentally and physically disabled young adults, help and attention to those who aren't old but have long term conditions. Our offering lends itself to anyone who needs some one they can trust to help them in their life.
So to celebrate close to 100,000 hours of care, we had a wonderful party and invited our clients and CAREGivers to join us and have some fun. I think the photos say it all!!
Thank you to everyone who has come with me on this journey - we couldn't have done it without you.
