As part of Dementia Awareness Week, Home Instead Wimbledon and Kingston hosted a special Chelsea Flower Show inspired Memory Café. The cafe which runs twice a month is for both patients in hospital and also those receiving care at home.

Today, our attendees used their creative flair to produce brain stimulating arrangements. After a nerve wracking judging, a best in show was announced.

The Memory Café offers fantastic peer support over a cup of tea, where shared experiences and empathy allow important relationships to develop.

With our dementia Support on hand - Lynn James - who has 15 years experience with the Alzheimer's Society, our two hours are of great benefit to those living in the area to come together. The hospital covers a wide area, but particularly Kingston, Surbiton, Tolworth, New Malden, Raynes Park, Worcester Park, Norbiton and Wimbledon.

For more information please do call Lynn on 020 8942 4137
