We have some pretty amazing people who work at Home Instead and Cherise Goodwin is definitely one of them. Our Caregiver and mother to four year old Jacob, Cherise, has decided to take part in cancer charity MacMillan’s Brave the Shave Campaign.
Cherise will be shaving all her hair off to help raise vital funds to support those going through treatment. Home Instead has a number of clients who have been affected by cancer and one of our own very brave Caregivers is currently going through her own battle with breast cancer right now.
Cherise is having her hair shaved by Milano Barbers in Kingston at 11am on Sunday 5th November. Award winning local barbers, Milano, will take great care to shave her hair carefully as she is donating her hair to the Little Princess Trust who provide real-hair wigs to boys and girls across the UK who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment and other illnesses.
When we asked Cherise why she had signed up to such an crazy type of fundraising, her response was ‘I can’t run and it’s only hair !’
We are so proud of you Cherise and a team from Home Instead will be there on the 5th to cheer you on!
Please support this crazy lady with a small donation and if anyone has got a bobble hat, Cherise might need one on the 6th!
