Ashcombe Park

A lovely, large park and gardens in the heart of Milton, Weston super Mare. Ashcombe Park has winding pathways over hills with great views across Weston, secluded trails through mature trees, and large grassy areas for running your dog or picnicking. It also boasts 2 children’s play areas and a little café. Having public toilets on site is very useful too. Ashcombe Pak also has 3 recently refurbished tennis courts available to hire. A great place for a leisurely stroll through nature.

Worlebury Woods

Worlebury Woods is a very big, beautiful and historical local woods in between Weston super Mare and Kewstoke. Enjoyed by dog walkers, joggers, cyclists, horse riders, families and nature lovers alike. There are absolutely loads of different paths you can take through the woods, but travelling along the main path will take you past a historical water tower, and to the very interesting iron age hill fort at the end. A fantastic place to explore, you will always have a different adventure in Worlebury Woods.

Sand Bay Beach

Hidden away at the back of Weston, Sand Bay Beach is not very known to tourists. The sea does not come far enough in to swim here, so the beach is primarily used for scenic strolling, dog walking and horse riding. It is a stunning sandy stretch, with beautiful scenery. Parking and public toilets are available nearby.

Sand Point & Middle Hope

The stretch of coastline around Sand Point and Middle Hope is one of the most beautiful parts of North Somerset.As well as being popular for walking and sightseeing, Sand Point is also a popular spot for a picnic. Walk the scenic three-mile route which takes you on a circular coastal walk around Sand Point The National Trust owned headland has footpaths leading in many directions, making it a great starting point for walks. There are often sheep grazing on the hills too. At Middle Hope you will find the remnants of Woodspring Priory, a former Augustinian priory that was built in 1230. This has now been converted into a farmhouse, but is still interesting to look at.
