Home Instead goes on the run for charity

Gary Wells, Community Service Representative and Recruitment Officer of Home Instead Senior Care Warrington, took part in the BUPA Great Manchester Run on Sunday (15th May) to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society.

Taking a break from his work with Home Instead, Gary raised £200 when he ran the city-centre route in a respectable 57 minutes and 25 seconds. He said: “I really enjoyed the whole experience. There was such a great atmosphere and the crowds definitely helped me to push myself along the way.”

Owner and Director of Home Instead Warrington, Philip Adlem also completed the run with Gary. Crossing the finish line in just 54 minutes and 39 seconds, Phil is still collecting funds for his chosen cause The Prostate Cancer Charity. Gary commented: “I was really hoping to finish before Phil, but considering we’ve both raised money for such worthwhile causes, I think he will let me live it down eventually!”
