Rewarding work, and a career! Happy days.

Lee-Ann ready to start her Caregiver journey with us.

Lee-Ann has recently joined Home Instead Senior Care and this is what she has to say:

Working with the elderly is a rewarding and privileged role and one which I was keen to get into. I was unsure where to start so I decided to undertake an NVQ level 2 in Health & Social Care. I then supported that with voluntary work at Stockport Homes with the Older Persons Activity Co-ordinator and helped at special events to reduce isolation in the Over 50’s.

Volunteering was extremely rewarding but I wanted to now develop myself and start a career path so applied to Home Instead Senior Care in Stockport. I attended an interview at Randolph House and was successful in my application. All the staff were so warm and friendly and I knew I wanted to be a part of this team. I completed my pre-employment training, competencies with clients and I am now out working 15 hours per week. I am enjoying my role as a CAREGiver along with feeling extremely well supported and valued as a person. I am very proud and privileged to work for Home Instead Senior care and look forward to continuing my career path with them whilst making a difference to people’s lives in the community.
