Clients, CAREGivers and Office Staff enjoyed a welcome break from their routine this week when they celebrated ‘Time for a Cuppa?’ day. The idea for the day was to raise money for Dementia UK by baking cakes and organising a tea party. The event was well supported with over 50 Clients, CAREGivers, Office Staff and local businesses ‘popping in’ and enjoying a cake and a cup of tea at Home Instead’s office at Europa Business Park.

The cakes were baked by the office staff, who produced an array of wonderful cookies, buns and cup cakes to entice our visitors.

Alan Gribbon and CAREGiver Pearl Buck took time out of their busy day to call in and sample the delights on offer. Alan commented: “I love calling in the office and talking to Mark about football, we both support Manchester City. The cakes were lovely and Pearl and I enjoyed a cup of tea. I am always made to feel so welcome”.

Joanna Moore, who organised the event said “The day was a great success and we raised over £37 for Dementia UK. We were amazed at the response of Clients, CAREGivers and local business people who all supported us. We hope to do more events like this to involve the local community”.
