Morrison's Friendship Cafe

Karen our CAREGiver who runs our Morrisons community Friendship Café had these lovely words to say.

“September was very busy month for our Morrisons Friendship Café, we had 79 attendees.

It has been great to see new faces and past members popping in to say hello.

Health awareness and eating well has been one of our topics for this month, following on from this we provided fruit for the group to make kebabs. We also had a great quiz read out to us by a younger group member, on foods from around the world.

We all enjoyed some cake decorating, our theme being around "Love" love for your friends, partner, yourself etc.

One of our members Peter made some great props for us to use.  it was fab and the love was flowing within the group.

A new member joined us, simply because he was at the tables we use, he had a lovely afternoon with us, happily joined in our games and chatter and is now happily going to join us regularly.

As ever, lots of laughter within the group, people bringing their own crafts to continue whilst being in company.

A very enjoyable, mixed and busy month”

Clare Cliff Head of CAREGiver experience said “I feel absolutely delighted at the impact a community café that we facilitate has had on so many people from across the borough”
