Home Instead Senior Care, a Home Care Company with a difference recently celebrated its 10th anniversary of providing high quality care in Stockport and Tameside. Home Instead first opened for business on 2nd October 2006. Stockport was the second office to open following the “relationship led” high quality care model arriving from the States in November 2005.

Managing Director David Moore and Finance Director Joanna Moore said: “When we first met Trevor Brocklebank in February 2006 we were bowled over by the quality of care delivered by the brand and decided to buy a franchise and help change people’s lives in Stockport. We had seen the effects of poor care delivery resulting in Joanna’s Grandma going into a home following a fall at home and we wanted people to have access to care that would help them live a better life in the comfort of their own home.”

The Company has come a long way from employing their first CAREGiver, Louise, their daughter to a business which now employees over 100 staff across Stockport and Tameside. Looking after in excess of 200 clients, Home Instead provides care from a simple shopping trip once per week to 24/7 care and support at end of life.

Home Instead offers a unique brand of care: one hour minimum calls, consistent and trained caregivers arriving on time and most importantly matching the CAREGiver to the Client and their needs: simply sending someone along whom the Client will get on with like a house on fire!

The Company celebrated in style with an afternoon tea party at the Brookdale Club on 30th September at 2pm. Commenting on the party, David Moore said: “The turnout was fantastic with over 50 Clients and more than 20 CAREGivers coming along to dance to the music of the Loose Change Buskers. We had a ball and it was the proudest moment of my Home Instead life to see all those people enjoying themselves and celebrating what we have achieved in 10 years in Stockport and Tameside. It was also great to see organisations like: Signpost, Millercare, Age UK Stockport, Gorvins, Disability Stockport and Sunrise supporting the event with information stands. We have worked closely with these people over the last 10 years and built a great relationship.”

Joanna commented: “Everyone had such a good time that they want to do it again next month! We will definitely organise another event in the future.”
