Be A Santa 2025

The festive season is a time for joy, togetherness, and kindness, but for some older people in our community, Christmas can be a lonely and difficult time. That’s why Home Instead South Cheshire is proud to once again launch our Be a Santa gift-giving campaign, helping to spread smiles, warmth, and festive spirit to those who need it most.

What is the Be a Santa Campaign?

Our Be a Santa campaign is a community initiative that invites local people to donate a small Christmas gift for an older person living in South Cheshire. The campaign began as a simple idea, to make sure that no one feels forgotten during the holidays.

Each gift donated is collected, carefully wrapped and then delivered to older members of our community, many of whom may be spending Christmas alone. These thoughtful gestures mean so much more than just a present, they remind people that someone cares.

How You Can Get Involved

It’s easy to take part and make a real difference this Christmas. Simply donate an unwrapped gift, something suitable for an older person, and drop it off at one of our donation points.

Here’s where you can find us this year:

• Ableworld Nantwich – from Monday 11th November
• Tesco Extra Crewe – from Wednesday 26th November
• Nantwich Bookshop – from Friday 28th November
• Church View Primary Care Centre – from Tuesday 12th November

All until Friday 12th December.

We welcome all kinds of donations, popular items include cosy socks, toiletries, biscuits, puzzle books, chocolates, scarves, hats, or small home comforts. Every gift, no matter how big or small, brings a smile to someone’s face.

Why It Matters

Loneliness among older people continues to be a growing issue, especially during the festive season. For many, a friendly chat, a visit, or a small gift can make all the difference. Through Be a Santa, we’ve seen first-hand how a simple act of kindness can brighten someone’s Christmas and remind them they’re valued and loved.

Over the last two years, thanks to the generosity of local residents, we were able to deliver hundreds of gifts to older people across South Cheshire, spreading joy, connection, and community spirit. This year, with your help, we hope to reach even more.
