We are pleased to announce that we will be holding our very first "Sing - A - Long" Roadshow, starting at our first location in Bicton Heath on the 12th July. Following locations include Sutton Farm on the 18th July and Bayston Hill on the 24th July.
The Roadshow is being launched to spread happiness and bring younger and older members of the community together in Song.
We hope to continue holding regular monthly Sing - A - Long events and hope that this will lead to the formation of a new intergenerational community choir.
Alison Stevens, of Shropshire Music Service, said: “Singing has been scientifically proven to stimulate the feel-good hormone serotonin which makes you feel happy and energised. Being part of a singing group is known to have a positive effect on health and wellbeing.”
Rachael Birchall of Home Instead Senior Care, said singing brought communities together and helped to improve the quality of life of older people.
Roadshows will be held as follows:
Bicton Heath Primary School, Bicton Lane, Bicton Heath - Thursday 12th July from 2pm to 4pm
St Giles Church Hall, Sutton Way, Sutton Farm - Wednesday 18th July 2pm to 4:30pm
Bayston Hill Methodist Church, Lansdowne Road, Bayston Hill - Tuesday 24th July 2:30pm - 4:30pm
