Over 70 People Gather For Launch Of New Home Care Company
More than 70 people gathered for the celebration launch of a new home care company that has been set up by former Shrophire racehorse breeder Rachael Birchall.
Rachael decided to leave her equestrian career and set up a franchise of Home Instead Senior Care after the experience of caring for her maternal grandmother for the last two years of her life.
In a speech BBC Radio Shropshire presenter Jim Hawkins said Rachael’s personal story had been one of inspiration and he paid tribute to her passion and dedication to raising the standards of care of older people in Shropshire.
The launch event took place at the company’s offices at Leaton Knolls, near Shrewsbury, attracting local business people and social enterprise representatives from across Shropshire.
Covering Shrewsbury, Oswestry, Ludlow and the surrounding rural areas, the company specialises in one-to-one non-medical personal care, companionship and home help services that enable older people to remain living independently in their own homes.
The event also raised funds for the charities Age UK and the Alzheimer’s Society.
