Our CAREGiver of the Quarter was announced at our most recent Quarterly staff meeting which was held at the Haymar Centre in Shrewsbury.
Congratulations to Sarah Baker!
Sarah was chosen due to her outstanding commitment and reliability. Sarah has 100% attendance for the last 3 months.
Sarah often goes the extra mile and for this reason was chosen as our quarterly CAREGiver. She is often heard saying “I’ll cover the shift if there’s no-one else”. This demonstrates Sarah’s commitment to ensuring that clients always receive their care. These are extra shifts for Sarah and are quite often outside of her availability.
Sarah carries out her care in an organised, highly professional manner. She is always willing to support not just new, but existing CAREGivers, demonstrating best practice. Sarah is often used as a mentor, assisting Caroline in teaching the “Home Instead” way to new CAREGivers.
Sarah is always keen to improve her knowledge and has shown her commitment by enrolling on the level 3 QCF qualification in Health and Social Care; a huge commitment in addition to her shifts and her family commitments.
Even when Sarah had no transportation, she would ask her husband to drive her to her shifts, ensuring that the client would not be let down. She now has a moped, and is unrecognisable when she arrives at the office in her full biker’s regalia! Hopefully Sarah will have a car before winter – Best of luck for when Sarah takes her driving test. Thank you Sarah. Home Instead is lucky to have you.
