Call us now to attend our Family Dementia Workshops!

On Thursday 22nd of January, Home Instead Senior Care Sheffield held day 1 of their Family Dementia Workshops at Heeley City Farm and it was a huge success.

We had one of our biggest ever turnouts at the workshop with over 20 people attending. Day 1 goes into more detail about Alzheimer’s Diseases and other Dementias and gave us all a much better understanding about the illness putting us in a much better position to raise awareness of Dementia across the communities of Sheffield.

Along with our attendees was a reporter from the TV station “Sheffield Live” who interviewed our Head of Care Sarah Oldham to gather more information about the workshops Home Instead provide and why we do them. Sarah’s interview was on Sheffield Live last night and she certainly did Home Instead proud, hopefully her interview will raise awareness about Dementia, our workshops and the services we can provide to support more people across Sheffield and Barnsley.

Our next workshop will take place on Wednesday the 25th of February at Heeley City Farm and will run from 1 until 4PM. The workshop will cover days 2 and 3 (Capturing Life’s Journey and Techniques to manage challenging behaviours). Do not feel like you cannot attend because you haven’t been to day 1, we do our workshops all year round so you can attend the days in any order.

We like to keep our groups to a limited number to ensure our sessions are intimate and people feel confident to share their stories therefore it is important to book your place. Email bradley.maw@homeinstead.co.uk to book.

If you would like more information about our workshops, want to book on, or want more information about the services Home Instead provides, don’t hesitate to call us on 0114 250 7709.
