Self-Directed Support – Choose the Option that suits you

Self-Directed Support (SDS) is about people making informed choices about their support and having as much control over it as they want. Professional support advisors will carry out an assessment and ask about things that matter to you. That assessment will review out what the local council will offer to help you. Self-directed support exists to give you the chance to decide how much control you want to have.

At Home Instead we have put together a simple fact sheet that explains the assessment process that you will have to go through to obtain Self Directed Support, and then describes the Options that you have, to use your budget. Find a link to the Home Instead fact sheet here.
