Not only have we been enjoying getting out and about with our clients in the Spring sunshine, garden centre visits and trips to local parks, but we are organising our stand again at this year's Blaston and District Agricultural Show - better known as a local charity called The Blaston Show!

It's a traditional affair, held in the South Leicestershire / Rutland area and one which attracts 5000 plus visitors and has done for 56 years!

Older members of the community including many of our local clients have great memories to share of their time preparing sheep and cattle for the showground, and tales of the terrier racing are hilarious! Its important for us all to to spend time reminiscing with older members of our communities, especially those living with dementia.

If you are thinking of taking an elderly relative out for a traditional country show, in the East Midlands, we love this one! Caution though - the ground is not terribly even, be prepared for mown pasture land.

The Blaston Showground is near Slawston  - LE16 7UF  and http://www.blastonshow.co.uk/
