Being a Dementia Champion and providing free Dementia awareness sessions is a great introduction to our Home Instead  Senior Care family workshops.

St  Luke's Hospital Market Harborough hosted a Dementia Week with a Memory Tea party.  Home Instead were proud to support the fantastic staff nurses and health care assistants and on Sunday all could enjoy the beautiful voice of Anne Marie singing songs from the 50's for patients and their families. With proper scones and afternoon tea too!

Patients come to St Luke's from far across the County, Rutland, Leicestershire and including South Wigston and Stoneygate. Home Instead continue to support their clients and families with respite visits, and also transport so that a husband who can no longer drive can visit his wife whilst she recovers at the hospital. A cheery visitor can make such a difference to a patients recovery , especially after a stroke when speaking and learning to move about again can really lay a patients spirits low, but with holidays and family commitments it can be very difficult for family and friends to visit as often as they would like. Home Instead is happy to help in so many ways.
