I was concerned that my mum would not let carers into her long-standing home, but they won her over, treating her with dignity, respect & as an equal. They quickly established how to gain her trust, and my mum continues to enjoy their company and friendship as they administer her medication and cook her lunch.

Home Instead have been caring for my parents for over two years. They have enabled my parents to stay at home with three visits daily. The carers are excellent and very patient, and help with medication, meals, washing etc. Recently when my mother was very ill, they worked hard to ensure that we had temporary night-time cover too, at very short notice.

A huge thank you to all the girls who have helped my mum over the last few months. The care and attention was first rate. My mum’s health has improved so much. They were always on time, chatted with her about her life and interacted with her on all sorts of subjects. Mum will miss having help with her puzzles, etc, but if going forward, my mum needs that extra help again, Home Instead will be our first call. Thank you again for everything.

Thank you to all the carers and staff at Home Instead who have looked after my Dad for the last year or so. Professional and caring throughout, Home Instead enabled him to stay independent in his own home. Always patient and kind, the carers were able to cope with a man who could be difficult and stubborn. The support staff back at base were always helpful and efficient, friendly and supportive, and always available. This, combined with the useful reports available on the app, was very valuable for us as relatives.

My family have used Homeinstead for about 2.5 years and have been more than happy with the care they have provided. The admin staff are always helpful and quickly communicate with us if there are any issues. They regularly have review meetings with us to ensure they are doing the best they can, to check if we are satisfied with their work, to check on the welfare of my parent/s and to see if anything else is required.

All the carers have been very friendly, helpful and extremely efficient. They provide thorough feedback on each visit via the App. When a new carer visits, they always accompany an existing carer to be shown what to do and where things are.

I would highly recommend Home Instead; they were excellent with my mum. Mum needed support with her personal care and companionship. Although it was for a short time, the whole company were amazing. I cannot fault the care given to my mother, and I am very grateful for all that the care professionals and other members of the Home Instead team did. Staff were always patient, caring and attentive to Mum’s needs. Nothing ever seemed to be too much trouble. Similarly, support staff were always polite and helpful whenever I had cause to contact the office.

I’ve not used the HomeInstead care team myself or for a family member, but on a recent visit to A&E, a HomeInstead carer was there with her client; I was really impressed with how kind, patient, caring and cheerful she was. I felt the carer was a great ambassador for the service and would happily use this service to care for a relative myself.

I found Home Instead during the pandemic, and they have been amazing at supporting my father and helping him maintain his independence. They add a personal touch, and they really understand Dad, placing him first and foremost in all they do. They have been my eyes and ears when I have not been able to visit. This will be my fourth year of using them, and I am very happy with the service.

The team update me on any care issues and the App allows me to view details of each visit. But most of all my mum is happy and enjoys great companionship and care. This matters so much as she was married for 56 years and struggled after we lost Dad. Even Mum’s neighbours are impressed and have met the care team. My brother and I are extremely glad that we engaged Home Instead to provide care for my mother which was initially for companionship for a lonely lady a couple of times a week but with time has resulted in the necessity for twice daily visits to prepare hot meals and drinks, go shopping and pick up prescriptions.

Home Instead were wonderful in providing daytime cover for my husband with severe semantic dementia while my regular private carer was on holiday. The carers were well-trained and supported. I appreciated their policy of having a new carer shadow an existing carer for part of the day to learn about my husband’s needs and foibles before they came to do a care session on their own. I will certainly turn to Homestead again in any future time of need.

The whole process with the Home Instead team was excellent; thorough, clear and personable. From the initial conversation on the phone to the visits from the excellent manager to the choice of the two great carers, every stage was taken in consultation with my mum. Having used Home Instead carers to help look after my father, I had no hesitation in contacting them to help care for my husband’s elderly aunt. The process was easy as the administration staff went out of their way to make you feel comfortable and deal with your questions politely and with a friendly and caring attitude. From the moment I was recommended to contact Home Instead many months ago, to this present moment, both myself and my Mum have received the most wonderful service, care, courtesy and solutions possible. The team there have been fantastic all the way through. With losing Dad last year and her onset of Dementia, Mum has received fabulous companionship care and stimulation to keep her days entertaining. We have now completed our first month using Home Instead’s services for my mum. We were extremely impressed with all the arrangements prior to the care package starting. All information was presented clearly and comprehensively and all our questions were answered fully. The initial assessment was thorough and sensitive, with my mum’s two carers also introducing themselves at that meeting. The resulting paperwork was clear and transparent.

So when my godmother needed some help I had no hesitation in contacting the team. I received care from Home Instead (Ipswich, Woodbridge & Felixstowe) during January and February this year following a stroke. Fortunately, I recovered fully very quickly and questioned whether I needed this help that my family had put in place for me. However, the three carers who came to my home were lovely people and we did lots of walking together. They were also able to help with beds and putting out bins and lighting fires and clearing out fireplaces.

Home Instead in Ipswich helped my father to look after my mother in her final years and was the obvious choice now that he in turn needs more assistance than his family can provide, in order to stay in his own home as he wishes.

We had a very thorough initial consultation with the Home Instead manager to find out my mother’s needs. Then a potential Care Professional was chosen and introduced, when this first person did not especially suit my mother, a new Care professional was brought in. This new person suits my mother very well. We have just had our six-month check and we are very pleased with the personal service that Home Instead in Ipswich offer.

The staff who care for my mother are fantastic Care Professionals. They work closely with me and Mum to ensure her needs are met which enables her to remain healthy and safe in her own home. As well as caring for her and the home physically they go out of their way to ensure she continues to be stimulated mentally, to get exercise and take her on trips out which are lots of fun. When I cannot be there for Mum I know she is in the best hands I know who will love and care for her as I do.

My husband has had Care Professionals since February 2015 for personal care, we find they are very kind, caring, lovely people and nothing is too much for them. They are very good. We would recommend them to anyone. Home Instead, thank you for an excellent service.

This company really is the best care company to work for, I wish that I had come to Home Instead years ago, but I am here now and I feel like I am part of a big caring family. How would we have managed without the help of Home Instead? Since their Care Professionals started visiting us in 2016, they have provided us with the care and support we so desperately need. Mum has been having Care Professionals from Home Instead coming to help her morning and evening for almost a year. I am always kept up to date and have IT access to read their carer’s notes following their daily visits, this has provided our family with the reassurance we desperately needed.
