First graduates of our specialist City and Guilds dementia course

We are pleased that the first of our Caregiver team have now completed our unique City and Guilds accredited Alzheimer's and other dementia's course.

A huge congratulations to Linda, Maria, Sharon, Lesley and Carol.

The course programme has been designed by national and international renowned dementia and Alzheimer's experts specifically for those who want to remain living at home in familiar surroundings. 

The course covers topics including: 

Maintaining a safe environment
Managing changing behaviour
Providing nutritious meals
Providing mind-stimulating activities
Creating social interaction
Supervising daily activities

We aim to roll out the training to all our Caregivers in 2017 to ensure that we are able to provide the right support to people living at home on their journey with dementia.
