Hello, I’m Mike Colvin, owner of Home Instead East Hampshire and Midhurst. I’ve lived in the local area for many years and I am so proud to support and enhance the lives of people within the comfort and security of their own homes. Client Centred Care

We take great pride in doing things differently. Our service is flexible and tailored to our clients, based on their needs and wants. We promote independence and dignity for our clients, by identifying their own specific needs and aspirations and introduce a variety of care and support options. We can provide an endless choice of non-medical care which could include: companionship, meal preparation, assisting with home tasks, medication reminders, recording family history, making appointments or going out on trips to hobbies and interests.

Caring, Compassionate Support

At what can be an extremely difficult and anxious time for relatives, we recognise that entrusting care to an ‘outsider’ could be stressful and worrying. Clients and their families can be assured of the importance we place upon the professionalism, reliability and empathy of our CAREGivers. The importance we place upon continuity of CAREGiver enables clients and their families to build trusting and genuine relationships, which can evolve and develop with changing needs. Our care is never rushed, our visits are a minimum of an hour long, to ensure client and CAREGiver are comfortable and have time to get to know each other.

When personal care is required, our CAREGivers can offer support in all aspects of an individuals’ personal needs – from short term support when returning home from hospital stays to caring for long term conditions with more complex and specialised needs. Our CAREGivers are trained specialists in Dementia and Alzheimer’s care and receive regular and ongoing training to support long term conditions. We support and work closely with families who are faced with the challenges associated with a relative being diagnosed with dementia and offer free and comprehensive training for any family member in this situation.
