East Cheshire Elves support Alzheimer's Society!
In December, here in East Cheshire, we supported the Alzheimer's Society Elf Day. Our cheeky office elves organised a crafty afternoon of making Christmas cards for Clients and showed off their creative talents by making and sewing special dementia blankets covered in buttons and ribbons and other trimmings.
We have to thank our wonderful CAREGivers for making it possible for several of our Clients to visit during the afternoon to join in the festive fun and also to our Clients that made it independently.
We really had a jolly time with Christmas tunes, old and new, hot fruit punch(non-alcoholic!), mince pies and of course lots of chocolate, including chocolate sprouts! Elf Helen brought in a couple of very strange teas for us to try - Brussel Sprout and Pigs in Blankets - hmm, the jury's out!
And in amongst all the joy we also managed to raise some money for the Alzheimer's Society. There was just the clearing up to do after those mischievous elves!!
