First CAREGiver Induction training
On the 4th of July 2019, we completed our first in-house training at HISC Dartford with a group of wonderful individuals, full of passion to provide excellent care for the older people in our community.
The extensive four-day training course covered topics such as 'Safe CareGiver Safe Client', 'Safe People Movement', 'Moving and Handling', medication training, as well as a more in-depth understanding of the ageing population. During this time they participated in various activities and stimulating discussions, as they felt it was a good platform to speak about personal experiences and transferable skills, which can be used well in their new roles.
The course evaluation shows that they found the training very helpful and informative and that they felt like having learnt a lot of best practice and helpful tips to now implement in their work.
Our CAREGivers were happy with the support and the continuous training provided from here on.
Overall a very productive week and a successful completion of the induction process. Our team members are now excited to start their new roles and to meet their first clients.
