Home Instead helps bring Christmas to Fleming House

This year the Home Instead Central Hampshire team collected over 60 gifts from staff, the local community and local organisations.  On December 13th, these were delivered to Fleming House in Eastleigh, a council-run care residential and nursing home for elderly people who require support due to extremely frailty, dementia and other conditions associated with old age.

Steve Gapper of Home Instead said ‘We are so pleased that the gifts can be enjoyed by elderly people who might not otherwise experience the magic and sparkle of Christmas. I would like to extend my thanks to everyone who generously donated a gift to our Be a Santa to a Senior campaign, and who are helping to bring a smile to the residents and patients of Fleming House on Christmas Day.’

Wendy Burrett, Registered Manager of Fleming House said: ‘We are absolutely delighted with all the lovely gifts that have been donated for our residents. This will make such a difference on Christmas Day, particularly for our residents with no family or visitors. It has been a pleasure working with Home Instead Central Hampshire, and I would like to say a huge thank you to the team and everyone who has supported to make Fleming House Christmas even more wonderful.’
