Home Instead Bromley, has launched the area’s only home nail cutting service, enabling older and disabled people who struggle with mobility to access the service at home.
Home care provider, Home Instead Bromley, Chislehurst & Orpington have launched the area’s only home nail cutting service, enabling older and disabled people who struggle with mobility to maintain personal hygiene and prevent infection without having to leave the house.
Home Instead Bromley, based in West Wickham, supports older people in their own homes, delivering home care ranging from personal care, such as help with dressing and bathing, to companionship over a cup of tea. Some of the company’s home care professionals have been trained to cut finger and toe nails for anyone in the community, whether they are an existing Home Instead client or not.
Regularly cutting nails helps prevent fungal infections and ingrowing nails. Home Instead Bromley is keen to save people from the health problems, pain and discomfort that failing to keep on top of nail cutting can cause. On top of that, the company is offering relaxing hand and foot massages and varnishing if the client would like to round off the nail cutting with some pampering.
Karina Brown, owner of Home Instead Bromley, Chislehurst and Orpington says: “It’s not always possible for people, especially older people, to go out and access the nail care services available in the community. We’re keen to make it easier by bringing the service to people’s homes.
“It’s not just about helping maintain people’s hygiene and health, it’s about boosting their confidence too. Who doesn’t feel better after a good grooming regime?!”
