Home Instead receives the prestigious Princess Royal Training Award in 2016 and 2019.

In 2016, we received our first inaugural Princess Royal Training Award for our Dementia  Care training.

These brand-new accolades from Princess Anne recognise organisations that demonstrate outstanding training and skills development programmes. In their very first year, the awards were granted to a total of 34 businesses, with major brands spanning healthcare, retail and manufacture alongside charities.

Launched by the City & Guilds Group in January 2016 – the awards honour employers that have created lasting impact by successfully linking their skills development needs to business performance.

We were thrilled to be the first home care provider to receive an award in the programme’s first year – with applications assessed across three ‘Hallmarks of Excellence’:

  1. Training and learning and development is integral to business performance
  2. The programme is delivered efficiently and effectively
  3. The programme has an impact on the success of the organisation and its people

In 2019, we were delighted to receive a second Princess Royal Training Award, this time for our End of Life training.

Home Instead was one of just 44 organisations in the UK to receive the award and the only home care company to secure it in 2019.

Launched in 2018, our City & Guilds assured End of Life programme was developed to give our Care Professionals the personal skills and knowledge to cope with the practical and emotional demands of delivering end of life care, as well as improve the quality of care provided to the client.
