We are incredibly proud to share some fantastic news Sunny our Managing Director has been named a winner of the Great British Franchisee Awards 2026!

This is a wonderful achievement and a moment of great pride for our entire Home Instead Team across Northumberland, North Tyneside, and Durham. Being nominated for an award of this kind is an honour, but to go on to win is a fantastic recognition of the dedication, leadership and commitment that goes into building a service that makes a genuine difference to people’s lives.

For us, this award represents far more than an individual achievement. It reflects the hard work of our Care Professionals, the dedication of our office teams and the trust placed in us by the clients and families we support every day.

Our purpose has always been about helping others live well at home and maintaining their independence for as long as possible. Behind every visit, every care plan and every meaningful relationship is a team of people who genuinely care about making a difference.

Sunny’s success reflects the importance of strong leadership in creating an organisation where quality of care comes first, our employees are supported to develop, and our clients and their families feel confident in the service they receive.

We are particularly proud that this recognition as it reflects the values that guide our work every day. Providing outstanding care is not simply about delivering a service it is about building relationships, earning trust and understanding what matters most to each individual.

Reflecting on the award, Sunny shared:

“I am honoured and humbled to have been named a Great British Franchisee Award winner with Home Instead. To see our hard work recognised in this way means a great deal, and I am sincerely grateful to everyone who made it possible.

This award belongs to far more than just me. It belongs to our care professionals and office teams, whose commitment and compassion make the difference every single day. It belongs to the clients and families who trust us with their care at some of the most important moments in their lives.

In care, success is never measured by numbers alone. It is measured by the difference we make in people’s lives. Helping older people stay independent and comfortable while ageing in their own homes is a true privilege. This award reflects that mission, and it motivates us to keep raising the standard. Our work is far from finished.”

His words capture exactly what this achievement means to us. While awards are a wonderful opportunity to celebrate success, the real reward is knowing that the work we do has a positive impact on clients, families, and our wider community.

Our Care Professionals are at the heart of everything we do. They provide companionship, reassurance, and personalised support, often becoming a trusted and valued part of clients lives. Their compassion and commitment help clients remain in the homes they love, surrounded by their familiar routines, memories, and communities.

Our office teams play an essential role in making this possible. From coordinating care to supporting our care professionals to maintain high standards every member of the team contributes to the outstanding service we deliver.

This award is a reminder that success is built collectively. It comes from shared values, a commitment to continuous improvement and a team that works together towards a common purpose.

Winning a Great British Franchisee Award is a significant milestone, but it is also motivation to keep moving forward.

We remain committed to developing our people, strengthening our relationships within the community and continually looking for ways to improve the care and support we provide.

For Sunny and the whole team, this recognition is something to celebrate — but it does not mean the work stops here. As the award quote says, “Our work is far from finished.”
