From "I don't need any help" to "what will our next adventure be?"

When the client’s daughter suggested she receive some support she was reluctant saying “I don’t need any help”.

From the moment we met for our induction, we got on extremely well. We quickly discovered we had many of the same interests, including our shared love of Norfolk, a place the client had many fond memories of.

Now going out twice a week. She leaves it up to me to decide what adventures we are going to have.

We have explored many places in and around Milton Keynes, including beautiful nature reserves, lakes cafes and pubs, as well as antique shops, which we both enjoy visiting. Of course, our adventures often include a cheeky cappuccino along the way!

The client has often said “Home Instead matched us perfectly, you’re not just my carer, you’re my friend”

The client’s husband has also noticed a big difference commenting that she “comes back a different person”

“It is an absolute pleasure to support this woman, it genuinely doesn’t feel like work, it is a privilege to spend time with her. She is such a wonderful person with a huge heart. Seeing the difference our outings make is incredibly rewarding”
