Home Instead launches 13th annual Christmas gift-giving campaign
Local home care provider Home Instead Ipswich, Woodbridge & Felixstowe is once again calling on the community to spread some Christmas cheer!

Local home care provider Home Instead Ipswich, Woodbridge & Felixstowe is once again calling on the community to spread some Christmas cheer as it launches its 13th annual Be a Santa gift-giving campaign.
The team will be returning to Sainsbury’s at Warren Heath on Friday 20 and Saturday 21 November, from 8 am, collecting gifts for older people across the local area who may otherwise go without a present this Christmas.
The annual campaign aims to bring a little extra happiness to older people who may be experiencing loneliness or isolation, or who may be apart from family and friends during the festive season.
Last year, the generosity of the local community helped Home Instead collect more than 300 gifts, which were distributed to older people who may otherwise have received nothing. This year, the team hopes to build on that success, with donations once again being shared through the Salvation Army, local churches and other community organisations to reach those who would most appreciate a little extra kindness.
Latitia Fadeyi, Community Outreach at Home Instead, said: “We’re delighted to be running our Be a Santa campaign for the 13th year. Every year, we’re reminded of just how generous our local community is, and last year’s collection of more than 300 gifts made a real difference to older people who might otherwise have gone without a present.
“Christmas can be a particularly difficult time for those who are feeling lonely or isolated, and something as simple as receiving a gift can help someone feel remembered and cared for. We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who donates and helps us spread a little festive happiness across our community.
“We’re also pleased to be returning to Sainsbury’s at Warren Heath and look forward to working with our local partners again to make sure these gifts reach the people who need them most.”
Home Instead welcomes donations of gifts suitable for older adults. Gifts can be donated at the collection point at Sainsbury’s Warren Heath on Friday 20 and Saturday 21 November, from 8am, or dropped off at the Home Instead office.
