Responding to the growing need to provide high quality homecare to older people in their own homes, Home Instead are opending a new office in Market Drayton Shropshire.

Under the leadership of owner Jenny Warren, Home Instead has been successfully operating in Telford and Newport for nearly 6 years. As Jenny says, ’how to care for older members of our community is at the top of many political agendas, particularly as people are living longer and wanting to stay in their own homes. Quite often essential physical needs are addressed, however more often than not it is the emotional needs of the individual that are overlooked, and it is by concentrating on the need for companionship, interaction, stimulation and community inclusion that we believe we can make a real difference to the quality of life of our clients. By building a relationship with our clients and their families we are able to focus on all their needs, both emotional and physical, and can adapt the service we offer as needs change, whether for a few hours a week to round the clock care.

Jenny, and Care Manager Louise Downing from Hinstock  are now keen to talk to local people with compassionate and caring natures who are interested in working with older people. Commenting on the Home Instead service, Louise said: “The way in which we operate is unique and this allows us to offer a different working environment for our caregivers. For example, we match clients and caregivers – we look for common areas of interest or life experience so that there is an immediate connection and a point of common interest.’’

“Homecare visits are of a minimum duration of 1 hour ensuring our clients receive the best quality of care whilst also providing our caregivers with high levels of job satisfaction. I would urge local people who might be interested to get in touch.”

Commenting on the need to recruit local caregivers, Jenny said: “We need local people to come forward and be part of our team. We will only employ people who are committed to making a difference, treating our clients with dignity and respect and working to the highest professional standards.’
