What is Healthcare at Home?
Home Instead are working together to meet the challenges of today, with our additional offering, Healthcare at Home. The pressure facing the health and social care sector are well known and the need for working together has never been as important as it is today.
Offering a range of services, spanning beyond our existing award-winning at-home care support into clinical care, this enables clients to stay at home for longer, or allow a person to return from a hospital admission with full personal care and clinical support.
What are the Healthcare at Home Services?
By providing comprehensive information about a client’s health and wellbeing, we can support the work of primary and acute healthcare teams and GP practices. Services are carried out in a person’s home by our trained Care Professionals. This can help prevent unnecessary hospital admissions as well as facilitating more effective hospital discharge.
Our wide range of Healthcare at Home services include but are not limited to:
- Simple wound care
- Vital signs monitoring
- Diabetes monitoring and administration of insulin pens
- Anal irrigation
- Non-invasive ventilation
- Catheter care
- Stoma care
- Gastrostomy care and feeding support
Why Healthcare at Home?
98% of over 65’s said it was important for them to stay living independently at home, which they can through our services. In addition to this, our Health Care Pros receive a tailored and comprehensive clinical training package which is bespoke to their client’s needs.
