Each year, Alzheimer’s Society works with individuals and organisations to encourage action during Dementia Action Week. This year the event will run from 13-19 May 2024. Communities across the UK come together for Dementia Action Week, raising awareness and taking action to support those living with dementia. Home Instead Burton upon Trent is proud to be part of this significant week, emphasising our commitment to the wellbeing of individuals coping with this condition.

Contributing to a Cause close to our Hearts

We’re looking forward to a heartwarming gathering, inviting the local community to drop by and support our shared goal of supporting those affected by dementia. Following our regular chair exercise (every Friday at 11am – Midday) session winds down, we will bring out the homemade cakes and other sweet delights, which we will sell to raise funds for Alzheimer’s charities—a cause dear to us.

In addition to the fundraising efforts, we’re honoured to host representatives from our local branch of the Alzheimer’s Society. Their presence will provide a valuable opportunity to ask any questions, for education and engagement on dementia-related matters, and offering insights into the support available for those touched by this condition.
