We love our Care Professionals. This is why we feel passionate about celebrating their yearly achievements by focusing on individuals who we believe deserve to be recognised for going above and beyond for their clients on a consistent basis. We are celebrating the triumphs Pam (right in image), one of our Telford North Newport and Market Drayton Care Professionals, in 2023 due to her unmatched dedication to consistently providing outstanding care.
It goes without saying, Pam completely embodies our values of Honesty, Reliability, Happiness, Supporting and Fairness. Pam has been with us for almost 10 years and she is someone who can always be relied on. Not only does Pam show fellow Care Professionals how to do things but always answers any questions informatively whilst always remaining calm and patient. When Pam was told she won Care professional of The Year, she said she “couldn’t believe it!”. However, there was no surprise when the reason for why she goes above and beyond for all her clients is that it “it’s easy for me because it [caring] comes so natural, and I love it!”.
Pam made a difference to people’s lives on multiple occasions in 2023. Recently, Pam had been supporting a client until the end of their life. A client, who she supported for many years, day and night, to ensure that this client was always comforted and cared for until eventually, they peacefully passed away. Pam not only supported this client but also their husband during this difficult time. Another client of Pam’s, Mrs E, recently had a bad fall and as soon as Pam knew she was back in her home, she rushed to visit and left a card and bountiful bouquet of flowers to wish a quick and speedy recovery to Mrs E.
Pam truly cares about her clients and will do more than just the ‘basics’ of the Care Professional role. She “loves building relationships and bonds” with her clients and sees her clients more as a “friend” than a client. She is the symbol of what a Home Instead Care Professional should be and symbolises what Home Instead is all about; love, support, companionship, care, reliability and dedication.
