Our Key to Care Networking Event Raffle raised a combined total of nearly £600, with half being donated to Home Instead Charities and local companionship groups.
Thanks to the hugely generous donations from over 20 local business’, and of course those who bought tickets, our Key to Care event raffle raised an incredible £600! The money raised was split evenly between Maggie’s Cancer Centre Swansea and Home Instead Charities.
Home Instead Charities is a charitable organisation set up by Home Instead with the aim of helping to combat loneliness in older people. To do this, they issue grants to local companionship groups such as Memory Cafes and Forget Me Not groups to help them to continue operating safe spaces for seniors to come together and enjoy each other company. Without financial support like this, many senior groups would struggle to continue to operate as many do so for free, so Home Instead Charities mission is so important.
The money raised in this raffle will be ring-fenced to benefit companionship groups operating in Swansea, so our local community will see the benefit of this amazing amount.
As we all know, a raffle is nothing without the prizes, so we wish to express our immense appreciation to the incredibly generous companies that contributed some incredible prizes.
