3 Parks in Oxford

Getting out to enjoy some fresh air and getting stuck in the great outdoors is good for the soul, Oxford isn’t short of green spaces and parks to get those steps in!

Many of us at Home Instead Oxford are keen walkers or just enjoy a good trip around a local park to take in the fresh air and get some of that all important exercise. Oxford has plenty of these to choose from when it comes to enjoying the best parks and green spaces in and around Oxford.

  1. Christ Church Meadow

A delightful scenic walk that is nestled in and around the grounds of Christ Church. This roughly 2 mile walk offers walks through meadows and along riverbanks with beautiful picturesque views Christ Church Meadow is a great place to spend a few hours walking around and maybe even enjoying a picnic in these amazing grounds. With it’s great location you could even extend your day even further with more activities if you see fit!

  1. University Of Oxford Botanic Garden

With thousands of different types of plant, the University of Oxford Botanic Gardens is home to a beautiful array of plants, flowers and more to immerse yourself in as you enjoy this up to 2 hour walk through the beautiful setting. What’s more as it’s right in the heart of the city you can find Oxford’s oasis all year round (Winter hours dependent). Be sure to check out the glass green houses for some more tropical plants.

  1. Cutteslowe Park

Cutteslowe Park in North Oxford is a fantastic space to spend any amount of time you have inn the Great British outdorrs. Oxford’s Cutteslowe Park is a great park for walks and activities for children which includes everything from a playground to a splash park. If the more active things are not for you spend some time feeding the ducks at the duck pond and take in refreshments at their café.
