Matthew Murray-James - Owner
Hello I’m Matthew from Home Instead Wrexham and Deeside. My background is in hospitality and education where I have been a lecturer and manager of a large commercial Equine Centre for the past 5 years. I now live with my partner Samantha who works as a college lecturer for students with learning disabilities.
About 5 years ago my elderly grandmother was starting to show signs of dementia and I had to find her some in the home help. I found it very difficult to get the care she needed and at the time didn’t know about Home Instead. I also lived over 100 miles from her and couldn’t visit every week. At that time I couldn’t provide care for her and how it feels to be far away from my relatives but not being able to care for them self was extremely painful for me and my partner. I needed to know that she was in safe hands but sadly she did not always receive what she deserved.
Why I wanted to join Home Instead
I knew I wanted to do something to make a difference but until I found Home Instead I didn’t know how. I knew that Home instead was right for me as I shared the values and beliefs that they did about ensuring that each person is cared for as if they were a relative themselves.
I want to provide a quality service to this community where they can have the confidence that their loved ones are being cared for and treated with respect and dignity. I will endeavour to be the best home care provider in the area. Please feel free to contact me at any time to discuss yours and your families’ individual needs.
